• Ivan Pace shows out in his first full-time role for the Minnesota Vikings: Pace delivered a strong performance in primetime as he fills in as the team’s top linebacker.
• The Cincinnati Bengals seemingly make a change at the safety position: PFF’s lowest-graded safety, Nick Scott, appeared to be benched in favor of rookie Jordan Battle, who delivers a strong IDP performance in Week 11.
• Injuries are really starting to pile up now: Multiple defensive players go down again, thinning out the starting IDP options just a bit while creating some key waiver wire targets for the week ahead.

Week 11 Takeaways
Be sure to check out last week’s waiver wire targets here as well.
Waiver wire
ED Tuli Tuipulotu, Los Angeles Chargers: Tuipulotu has had a really strong rookie season but with Joey Bosa out, he can be added where he’s available due to his potential to play a lot more down the stretch.
ED KJ Henry, Washington Commanders: With Efe Obada done for the year and James Smith-Williams dealing with a hamstring injury, the rookie could be in for a volume role for the Commanders. Henry delivered 1.5 sacks in his season-high playing time in this game.
LB Josh Woods, Arizona Cardinals: Woods stepped into a full-time role with Kyzir White out of the game. Should White miss any time, Woods would be worth adding in most leagues while Krys Barnes would step into Woods’ former part-time role.
LB Sione Takitaki, Cleveland Browns: Takitaki stepped into a larget role with Anthony Walker sidelined and could be useful in deeper leagues. It’s important to note that the Browns have kept a heavy rotation at the linebacker position this season, which keeps any of their options from being too valuable in IDP.
LB Derrick Barnes, Detroit Lions: Barnes took over the clear lead as the team’s second linebacker, playing 95% of the team’s defensive snaps. Barnes may not see that high of a snap share every week, but he does appear to be ahead of the rookie Jack Campbell for now, making him a potential add in deeper leagues.
LB Christian Harris, Houston Texans: Harris can be added this week with the understanding that he may lose that full-time role again once Denzel Perryman returns from suspension in Week 13.
LB Mykal Walker, Pittsburgh Steelers: Walker played a healthy 84% snap share with the Steelers linebacker options dwindling down. Walker can be added in deeper leagues, but it is important to note that the team is also bringing back formerly retired linebacker Myles Jack to potentially play some snaps as well. Jack has familiarity with the defense from last season and could factor in at some point soon.
LB SirVocea Dennis, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Dennis stepped in as the next man up with Lavonte David out of the lineup and can be added in most leagues due to his chance to be productive in a full-time role for as long as David is out.
S Jordan Battle, Cincinnati Bengals: Battle played a career-high 86% of his team’s defensive snaps and delivered 11 total tackles as a result. He can be targeted in most IDP leagues that start more than one safety.
S Isaiah Pola-Mao, Las Vegas Raiders: Pola-Mao stepped in for an injured Marcus Epps and came up with seven total tackles and an interception in his stead. If Epps misses time, Pola-Mao could be an option in deeper leagues.
S Ji’Ayir Brown, San Francisco 49ers: The rookie third-round pick should step in as a starter in Talanoa Hufanga’s absence and can be added in deeper leagues.
Fool’s gold: Leki Fotu totaled four tackles and a sack in this game, but he played the fewest amount of snaps among the Cardinals defensive linemen, making this unsustainable production to chase for IDP managers.

Droppable: Nick Scott’s status as a starter has been on the brink of coming to an end for much of this season. Scott was PFF’s lowest-graded safety overall and in coverage coming into Week 11 and the team finally pulled the plug to allow the rookie Jordan Battle to get more playing time.
Waiver wire: Jordan Battle played a career-high 86% of defensive snaps and delivered 11 total tackles as a result. He can be targeted in most IDP leagues that start more than one safety.

Injury: Anthony Walker suffered a hamstring injury late in the first quarter and did not return. He is considered likely to miss some time.
Waiver wire: Sione Takitaki stepped into a larget role with Walker sidelined and could be useful in deeper leagues. It’s important to note that the Browns have kept a heavy rotation at the linebacker position this season which keeps any of their options from being too valuable in IDP.
SAFETY
Injury: Rodney McLeod, who had been filling in for an injured Juan Thornhill, suffered a biceps injury in this game and is now out for the season. Thornhill could be back as soon as next week.

Parsons dominated this matchup with an incredibly high 40% win rate and 30% pressure rate, which is why he should never leave IDP lineups when capable of that level of dominance.

Point of interest: Markquese Bell went back to leading the Cowboys linebackers in snaps this week have playing fewer than 40% of the defensive snaps in Week 10. He can likely be trusted in deeper leagues where he has a defensive back designation and depending on other lineup options.

Point of interest: Aidan Hutchinson ended his quiet streak of four straight games without a sack, as predicted in this past week’s IDP rankings article. Hutchinson has everything we’re looking for in an IDP edge rusher, which should keep him in IDP lineups pretty much every single week.

Rookie watch: Jack Campbell should not be trusted in most redraft IDP leagues at this point. He had a productive game with nine tackles, but he’s fallen to third on the Lions’ linebacker depth chart and is playing sub-optimal snaps which will hurt his potential for production going forward.
Waiver wire: Derrick Barnes took over the clear lead as the team’s second linebacker, playing 95% of the defensive snaps. Barnes may not see that high of a snap share every week but he does appear to be ahead of the rookie Jack Campbell for now, making him a potential add in deeper leagues.

Point of interest: Blake Cashman had a massive fantasy performance which included a sack to his huge tackle total. Cashman and Christian Harris both moved into every-down roles with Denzel Perryman suspended and Henry To’oTo’o out of the lineup again.
Waiver wire: Harris can be added this week with the understanding that he may lose that full-time role again once Perryman is back in the lineup.

Injury: Joey Bosa suffered a foot injury early in the game and did not return. Bosa is expected to miss time.
Waiver wire: Tuli Tuipulotu has had a really strong rookie season but with Bosa out, he can be added where he’s available with the potential to play a lot more down the stretch.

Fool’s gold: Isaiah Simmons came up with an interception in this game but played just 31 defensive snaps and should not be trusted going forward. Simmons spent 16 of his 31 snaps lined up on the edge, rushing the passer on eight of those snaps. His usage and playing time should keep him far from IDP starting lineups.

Point of interest: Quinnen Williams landed a half-sack last week to bring him up to one full sack on the year and then delivered a full sack in this game. Patience has been preached on Williams all season in this regard and he’s delivered strong production even without the sacks. Now, if he can start stringing some sack production together as well, he will make IDP managers very happy as we near the fantasy playoffs.

Point of interest: With Nakobe Dean on injured reserve again, it was Zach Cunningham who stepped into the lone full-time role for the Eagles, and is likely to continue in that role going forward. Neither Cunningham nor Nicholas Morrow were very efficient with their opportunities which is concerning and has been the case all season with both players deliver tackle efficiency well below average all year long.

Waiver wire: Mykal Walker played a healthy 84% snap share with the Steelers linebacker options dwindling down. Walker can be added in deeper leagues but it is important to note that the team is also bringing back formerly retired linebacker Myles Jack to potentially see some playing time as well. Jack has familiarity with the defense from last season and could factor in at some point soon.
SAFETY
Point of interest: Minkah Fitzpatrick’s hamstring injury has now kept him out for three straight games while multiple players have been used to fill the void. Keanu Neal also recently landed on injured reserve leaving even fewer options for Pittsburgh to choose from. The best bet may be to wait for Fitzpatrick’s return as he and Damontae Kazee are the only reliable options on a weekly basis.

Point of interest: Jordyn Brooks played 99% of his team’s defensive snaps in this game, which was his highest total of the year. Ironically, Brooks had his worst fantasy performance of the season. It is worth noting that Jamal Adams was inactive in this game so the Seahawks played significantly less dime personnel than they would typically play this year so that snap share may come back down with Adams in the lineup.

Rookie watch: YaYa Diaby delivered a two sack performance this week, matching his season total and bringing him to four on the year. All four of Diaby’s sack this season have come in the last four weeks but his playing time still keeps him at the bottom of the depth chart and shouldn’t be chased in the coming weeks.
