ESPN Fantasy Baseball Rankings for 2024: Uhh…Okay

Guys and five girl readers, let’s remember back to last week when Fantasy Pros said I was the best fantasy baseball rankings:

Ah, what a time. We were younger then, and you had more hair! So, we know my 2024 fantasy baseball rankings are best now, empirically. There’s no reason to look elsewhere. Some of you, though, I know you’re curious like a bodega cat. You go around looking at other fantasy baseball rankings. Shame on you, of course, but I won’t shame you to your face, I will roll my eyes behind your back. I will politely hold my nose like I just smelled a fart when you reveal to me you look at ESPN fantasy baseball rankings. I am the greatest GOAT of all-time. I am the GGOATOAT of rankings! Why then did I do so poorly last year in my leagues? Who’s asking?! Who?! I will destroy them! Okay, so I had a rough year with my leagues, which is why I say rankings are only going to get you so far. I drafted Oneil Cruz and Jazz Chisholm Jr. in so many leagues last year, and whose fault was that? Yours! No, it was mine. But this is a long way of saying that rankings can help, but you still need some luck. Sorry, there’s no exact science. With that said, I will scientifically give you some guys who are higher and lower in my rankings than ESPN’s fantasy baseball rankings:

So, this post was originally looking at Points Rankings, which was incorrect. I’m the number one ranker, not the number one pay-attention’er, clearly. I’m now looking at their roto rankings, so I don’t have time for the jibber-jabber as I update this. My big takeaway is there’s a ton of players that just weren’t ranked. The NR’s go crazy. I limited them to the guys I ranked within the top 300, because they ranked up until 300.

Going to list players in a handy chart. The Thank You’s have it. It being good value from my rankings vs. ESPN’s. The No Thank You’s don’t have it. They’re bad people. Meh, they might be okay people, but they’re likely not ending up on any of my ESPN drafted teams. For this, I’ll be using my 2024 fantasy baseball rankings (go figure!) and ESPN’s 2024 fantasy baseball rankings (crazy, right?). Note: I wrote this the other day, so if the numbers aren’t exactly right, it’s because they heard my footsteps. Though, they still have Kodai Senga at 43rd overall, so I’m not sure they’re updating their rankings.
