PFF’s Mock Draft Simulator provides a look into how most fans are drafting for their favorite NFL teams. There is still a ways to go until the 2024 NFL Draft, but some fanbases are already planting their flag in specific positions and players.

Here, we look at four takeaways from the PFF Mock Draft Simulator data, along with every team’s most-picked player in Rounds 1 and 2 and their most-drafted position in Round 3.

Olu Fashanu and Terrion Arnold are missing team fits in Round 1

Three names you won’t find on the list below are Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Texas interior defender Byron Murphy II and Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold. This doesn’t mean these players won’t be drafted in the first round — it would be stunning for any of them to fall into Round 2.

What it does tell us, though, is where they are viewed among similarly ranked prospects by fans. Tennessee Titans fans would rather draft Notre Dame’s Joe Alt over Fashanu, Las Vegas Raiders fans would rather draft Toledo’s Quinyon Mitchell over Arnold, and multiple fanbases prefer Illinois’ Jer’Zhan Newton over Murphy.

Green Bay Packers fans are set on Tyler Nubin

Packers fans most frequently select Duke offensive lineman Graham Barton with the 25th overall pick, but when he is not available, they usually opt for Minnesota safety Tyler Nubin. The 25th-ranked player on the PFF big board, and one of only two safeties in the top 50, is their preferred pick with both of their second-rounders, too, so it’s clear that Packers fans would love to add the player who recorded a career-high 89.2 PFF grade in 2023.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans are eyeing a center

One of the most common pairings in media mock drafts is the Steelers with Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson in the first round, and that is mirrored in PFF’s Mock Draft Simulator 34.7% of the time. When they miss out on him in Round 1, they target West Virginia’s Zach Frazier at the position in Round 2. It’s very possible that both could be gone by the Steelers’ picks in those rounds, though, so this could be a situation where we see the team draft Frazier with the 20th overall selection.

11 teams would take a WR in Round 3, 10 would select a DI

The 2024 NFL Draft features a deep wide receiver class, which is reflected in how often fans are drafting the position in the third round in PFF’s Mock Draft Simulator. The position is the top pick for 11 selections in Round 3. That should be an indication that wide receivers are going to fly off the board.

The other position with double-digit selections in the third round is interior defender. Fans of teams with a need up front are hoping players like Oregon’s Brandon Dorlus and Texas’ T’Vondre Sweat fall down the order.
